From roundabout to WOCHA office is just 1.1 km. from main Tarime Kenya road to WOCHA is 0.5 km
WOCHA head -office is based in Serengeti District - Mara Region.

Why has WOCHA decided to work full time in Serengeti despite the fact that serengeti is well known worldwide … ?  The notion of many donors that the district is very rich and many people from all corners of the world are visiting the district due to its attractions , however things are vice versa . Keep in touch with WOCHA and you will understand what we mean , serengeti is  the poorest district in Tanzania ….. so Work or Volunteer with WOCHA in Serengeti and you will see a miracle of wildeebeest migration vs indigenous people

Serengeti District is one of the five districts in the Mara Region of Tanzania . It is home to part of the world-famous Serengeti National Park and contains the Western Gate to the park. It is bordered to the South by the Mwanza Region, to the West by the Musoma Rural and Bunda Districts, to the Northeast by Kenya and to the East by the Arusha Region.
The Poverty and Human Settlement Development Report 2005 ranks Serengeti district as one of the poorest districts in Tanzania, with 61% of the households living below the basic needs poverty line. The population is poor in terms of registered cash income.
Girls and Women  are vulnerable because often too isolated, there are no Local or International non governmental associations to support them and defend their rights,  Local Civil Societies  in the Serengeti, Serengeti  District  are very ! very weak and girls are not used to meet, share their problems and advocate for more equal treatment and better living conditions.
